AI Transparency

CVeetje uses AI for the following functions:

• Generate CV content: Based on your profile data and a job posting, AI writes professional summaries, experience descriptions and skills sections.

• Analyze job postings: AI extracts job requirements, keywords and other relevant information from job posting texts.

• Fit analysis: AI compares your profile with a job posting and provides an estimate of how well your experience matches the job requirements.

• Generate styling: AI generates a visual design (colors, fonts, layout) matching your industry and the job posting.

• Process profiles: AI can extract information from uploaded documents such as LinkedIn PDFs or screenshots.

• Generate cover letters: AI writes a cover letter based on your CV and the job posting.

• Generate LinkedIn content: AI creates optimized texts for your LinkedIn profile.

CVeetje maintains strict rules for AI-generated content:

• No fabricating experience: The AI does not invent work experience, education, certifications or skills that are not in your profile. Your CV only contains information you have provided yourself.

• No autonomous decisions: The AI does not make decisions about your career or job applications. All AI-generated content is a tool that you control.

• No screening or selection: CVeetje does not evaluate you as a candidate and does not make selection decisions. The fit analysis is solely an indicative tool for you as a job seeker.

• No storage for AI training: Your personal data is not used to train AI models.

CVeetje offers two ways to use AI:

• Platform AI: We offer Claude by Anthropic (currently Claude Opus 4.6) as a built-in AI option. No API key is required. Each AI action costs credits.

• Own API Key: You can bring your own API key from a supported provider, including OpenAI (GPT-4), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), and more than 20 other providers. In this case, AI actions are processed directly through your own account with the provider.

With Platform AI, Anthropic (based in the US) is the AI provider. Anthropic processes data in accordance with their privacy policy and terms of use. We have a data processing agreement with Anthropic for the processing of personal data.

When you use Platform AI, the following data is sent to Anthropic (US) for processing:

• Your profile data (name, work experience, education, skills) • The job posting text (if provided) • Instructions for generating content

This data is only processed to complete your request and is not used by Anthropic for training AI models (in accordance with Anthropic's API terms for commercial use).

Processing takes place on Anthropic's servers in the United States. We maintain appropriate safeguards for this international transfer in accordance with Chapter V of the GDPR, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). We have conducted a Transfer Impact Assessment (TIA) in which we concluded that the level of protection is adequate, given the nature of the data, the contractual and technical safeguards, and the low risk of access by foreign authorities.

When you use your own API key, your data is sent directly to your chosen AI provider. CVeetje acts as a pass-through — processing falls under the terms and privacy policy of the respective provider. You are responsible for reading and accepting their terms.

AI-generated content is a tool, not a finished product. It is your responsibility to:

• Check all generated text for accuracy and completeness • Verify factual information (dates, job titles, company names) • Adjust content to your personal situation • Not include misleading or inaccurate information in your CV

Employers may ask whether your CV was created with the help of AI. We recommend being honest about this when asked.

The fit analysis feature compares your profile with a job posting and provides an indicative score. It is important to know that:

• The score is an AI estimate and not a guarantee or prediction of your chances • The analysis is not used by employers — only you see the result • The score is not a decision and should not be treated as such • You should always make your own assessment of whether a job is right for you

This feature is intended as a tool to help you assess your match with a job posting, not as a definitive judgment.

CVeetje is classified as a limited-risk AI system under the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689). This classification is based on the following considerations:

• CVeetje is a consumer tool that helps job seekers write their own CVs • CVeetje does not screen, rank or filter candidates on behalf of employers • CVeetje does not make hiring or selection decisions • The AI improves the presentation of existing information provided by the user themselves (Article 6(3)(b) — improvement of a previously completed human activity)

We comply with the transparency obligations of Article 50 of the EU AI Act by:

• Clearly communicating that CVeetje uses AI for content generation • Disclosing which AI models are used • Informing users about their responsibilities when using AI-generated content

We document our risk assessment and keep it available for supervisory authorities. The Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) is the responsible supervisory authority in the Netherlands.

Regarding the AI processing of your data, you have the right to:

• Be informed about how AI processes your data (this page) • Access what data is sent to AI providers • Request deletion of your stored profile data and CVs • Object to AI processing — you can always manually fill in your CV without AI • File a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or your local supervisory authority
